Beginning and Intermediate Taijiquan: Tues. and Thurs. 6:30-8:00 PM, Sat. 9:00-10:30 AM. This class includes instruction in the Yang Style Long Form barehand, applications of the form movements, the internal structure of Taijiquan including Qi cultivation and circulation, partner exercises and Taiji Qigong. New students may enroll at any time.
Advanced Martial Taijiquan: Tues. and Thurs. 8:00-9:15 PM, Saturdays 11 AM - 12 Noon. This class focuses on advanced applications of Taijiquan form movements; single, double and moving pushing hands; Taiji Cane, Short Staff and Saber and Taiji Fighting Set. This class is open to Qi Elements intermediate and advanced students (Green Sash and above) and with permission of Shifu Blough.
Morning Taiji (Tai Chi): Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00-11:30 AM. This class focuses on a mixture of Taiji form and Taiji Qigong exercises. We will cover movements of the Traditional Yang-Style long form are taught, demonstrate their applications and, depending on students' interests, practice self-defense applications of Taiji form movements. Immediately following the class, students who wish to can join in our performance of the entire long form.
Medical Qigong Exercise: Wednesdays evenings, topics rotate. This class features Qigong exercises for maintaining and improving overall health, for relieving common health issues such as stress, balance and flexibility and for helping your mind and body adjust to the changing seasons. The routines included willl be the famous Eight Pieces Brocade, White Crane soft qigong, and seasonal routines from the Four Seasons Medical Qigong and the Five Animal Sports. We welcome both "casual" students and students pursuing our certification program. The fee for drop-in classes is $18 a session, and discount packages are available starting at $150 for 10 classes to be taken within 15 weeks.
Taiji-Qigong: Wednesdays evenings, topics rotate. This class focuses on the Qigong elements from our Taijiquan curriculum, including Qi cultivation and circulation, sitting and standing meditation, Taiji Ball Qigong, as well as stationary, rocking and moving Taiji Qigong exercises. There will be no long Taiji form sequences, martial exercises or weapons practice. This class is suitable for Taijiquan students wishing to place additional effort into their Qigong training and for other students who are seeking the benefits of Taiji exercises without the difficulties of learning long sequences and engaging in martial arts practice. The fee for drop-in classes is $18 a session, and discount packages are available starting at $150 for 10 classes to be taken within 15 weeks.
Qigong Exercises for Health: Saturdays 11 AM-12 Noon. This class focuses on the All-Season Qigong for Spine and Chest, White Crane Soft Qigong, Taiji Ball Qigong, Taiji Yin-Yang Symbol Tracing Qigong, and seasonal Qigong for health.
